Request for Proposals:
15th Annual Country Music Alberta Awards Producer

Country Music Alberta is currently accepting proposals for the role of Award Show Producer for the 15th Annual Country Music Alberta Awards, scheduled to take place in Q1 of 2026 in Alberta.

We are seeking a highly organized, driven, and experienced individual to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of our flagship event. The selected Producer will work closely with our Board of Directors and Interim Operations Manager to deliver a high-caliber awards show that celebrates the best in Alberta's country music scene.
 

Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • In-Show Content Management: Oversee the implementation of all digital and visual content (e.g., nominee packages, lower-thirds, video acceptances, Hall of Fame induction materials).

  • Production Management: Manage all production aspects, including scheduling, backline, monitors, venue coordination, and technical requirements.

  • Musical Direction: Collaborate with the band leader to hire a house band, develop live performances, and act as liaison between performers and show personnel.

  • Voiceover Coordination: Manage voiceover content for nominee segments, Hall of Fame presentations, and other elements.

  • Show Development: Create the full Run of Show and stage plot.

  • Scriptwriting: Draft a complete awards show script, including all content for hosts and presenters.

  • Talent Coordination: Work directly with hosts and presenters on their roles and responsibilities.

  • Award Logistics: Manage presentation details, including envelope and trophy coordination.

  • Broadcast & Livestream Oversight: Collaborate with the video production team to broadcast and livestream the event, ensuring a cohesive visual and production identity.

  • Technical Supervision: Oversee all in-house and outsourced production elements (e.g., audio, lighting).

  • Site Management: Attend venue site meetings (in-person or virtual).

  • Performer Management: Submit a proposed list of performers to the Board of Directors for approval.

  • Advance Planning: Coordinate logistics with all involved parties ahead of the event.

  • Post-Show Deliverables: Provide a full show recording and edited performance clips.


Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Proven event production experience

  • Strong background in live show and broadcast production

  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work within a set budget

  • Understanding of and alignment with the mission and values of Country Music Alberta

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to liaise with venues and negotiate contracts
